An old picture taken in 1985 that still stands proudly on Karpal Singh's office. It was taken by the Chinese press when the police tried to forcibly evict Karpal from the Penang State Assembly after he was "suspended". Karpal stood his ground and ordered the stunned cops out of his office. Not even the Penang Police Chief, the legendary Datuk Zaman Khan, was spared from Karpal's fury as the lawyer ordered him to pick up his bag which he had tossed on the floor.
